The horrifying event unfolded around 2 pm on a Monday, and was captured on camera by her friend who was accompanying her.
The victim, identified as Shweta Deepak Surwase, a 23-year-old woman, was being filmed by her friend Suraj Sanjau Mule, who was documenting her driving lesson. The footage shows Surwase starting to reverse the car while still some distance away from the cliff edge.
Despite Mule’s frantic shouts urging her to slow down and engage the clutch, Surwase continued to accelerate, leading to the car losing control and plummeting into the gorge. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle roll down the cliff before coming to a halt at the bottom, sustaining severe damage. Tragically, Surwase succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
