Ongoing Investigation and Officer’s Recovery
The Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office and R.I. State Police have taken charge of the investigation, as protocol dictates when an officer discharges their weapon. The officer involved, a dedicated member of the Cranston Police force, was promptly treated at Kent Hospital for her injuries and has since been released.
