Six individuals, including five Chinese nationals and one Filipino, were apprehended in connection with a shooting incident involving two Chinese men in Parañaque City. The suspects, identified as Peng, Cheng, Deng, Tu, Liu, and a Filipino driver/bodyguard named Ken, were arrested following the incident. Four other suspects remain at large. The victims sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The suspects allegedly shot the victims over an unpaid loan. Police conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the recovery of firearms and the arrest of the suspects. Charges of illegal possession of firearms and frustrated murder have been filed against the arrested individuals.

The Arrest of Suspects in Parañaque City Shooting Incident
Five Chinese nationals and a Filipino were apprehended in connection with a shooting incident that took place in Parañaque City in the early hours of June 15. The Southern Police District (SPD) reported that the suspects, identified as alias Peng, Cheng, Deng, Tu, Liu, and a Filipino individual, were allegedly involved in the shooting of two Chinese men.
Details of the Incident
The victims, known only as alias Li, sustained gunshot wounds in the lower part of their bodies and were promptly taken to Ospital ng Parañaque for medical attention. The shooting occurred inside a residential building along the bustling Roxas Boulevard in Parañaque City around 12:10 a.m.
Upon hearing gunshots emanating from the victims’ unit, tenants of the residential building swiftly alerted the Parañaque police Tambo substation. According to reports, four men entered the victims’ unit and shot them, purportedly over an unpaid debt.
Arrest of the Suspects
Subsequent investigation and CCTV footage analysis led to the arrest of six suspects. Alias Peng and Deng were apprehended in a hotel room in Pasay City, while Cheng was captured in Clark, Pampanga. Law enforcement recovered a .22 magnum revolver and a .9mm pistol from the suspects.
The two other Chinese nationals, Cheng and Liu, residing in the same building, were also taken into custody. Meanwhile, the Filipino suspect, Ken, was arrested at his residence and found in possession of a .9mm pistol, an extra magazine, a cellular phone, and a motorcycle.
Mastermind and Unresolved Cases
The alleged mastermind behind the shooting, alias Bo, had previous brushes with the law and was previously detained in December 2022 for his involvement in other criminal activities. The remaining suspects, including alias Yu and Tony, are currently the subjects of a manhunt operation.
It was revealed that the suspects were known to lend money to casino players, with the victims reportedly failing to repay the borrowed funds. The arrested individuals face charges of illegal possession of firearms and attempted murder.
