In a tragic incident that shook the residents of Ghaziabad, three individuals lost their lives after being run over by a train in the Loni area of the city in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, identified as Asif (26), Guddu (20), and Devesh (26), were found on the railway track on the Delhi-Shamli route in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The bodies of Asif and Guddu, residents of Sangam Vihar of Loni Border police station area, and Devesh from Dadri town of Gautam Budh Nagar district, were discovered by authorities around 5:30 am. Asif worked as a daily wager, while Devesh and Guddu operated e-rickshaws in Loni.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ankur Vihar Bhaskar Verma, confirmed the unfortunate incident and stated that the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. The sudden loss of these individuals has left their families and the community in shock.

Adding to the tragedy, another accident occurred in the city on the same day, where four people lost their lives and 18 others were injured after a truck collided with a canter carrying 35 individuals. The incident took place late at night on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway near Rewada Rewari police station in Muradnagar.
The truck, en route from Haryana’s Sonipat to Hardoi, was transporting brick kiln workers, many of whom hailed from Hardoi and Shahjahanpur. The collision resulted in the death of four individuals and left several others with injuries.
