Man Arrested for Domestic Battery in Indianapolis

A 53-year-old man from Indianapolis is currently facing potential murder charges after the death of a victim in a January battery case was determined to be a homicide. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) made the arrest following an extensive investigation.

Incident Details

On January 23, IMPD officers responded to a report of a person who had been severely battered at an area hospital. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male with traumatic injuries. The victim was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.

Through their investigation, police were able to trace the incident back to a residence located in the 4900 block of Media Drive, near Cold Spring Road and Michigan Road. The suspect, a 53-year-old man, was identified and taken into custody without resistance, thanks to a swift response from the SWAT team.

Tragic Outcome

Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries on March 31, more than two months after the initial incident. The Marion County Coroner officially classified the death as a homicide, citing the severe nature of the injuries sustained.
