Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident on the near northwest side of Indianapolis. The victim, an adult male, was found outside a residence with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. IMPD is currently investigating the shooting and is asking for information from the community. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name after notifying the family. Those with information are urged to contact IMPD’s homicide office or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana. Tips leading to felony arrests may be eligible for cash rewards. This is preliminary information subject to change as the investigation progresses.

Tragic Shooting Incident Rocks Indianapolis Neighborhood

INDIANAPOLIS — A tragic incident unfolded on the near northwest side of Indianapolis on Sunday morning, as Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2900 block of North Warman Avenue.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an adult male victim outside a residence with injuries consistent with at least one gunshot wound. Tragically, the victim was pronounced deceased shortly after being found by police.

IMPD has stated that no suspect is currently in custody, and the cause of the shooting remains under investigation. Officers are actively engaging with neighbors and community members to gather more information that may shed light on the tragic incident.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the Marion County Coroner’s Office once his family has been notified of his passing.
