SAN MATEO — Police have identified a Central Valley woman as the suspect in a shooting reported Thursday off East Hillsdale Boulevard, and released more details about her arrest.

The shooting was reported around 4:45 p.m. Thursday near East Hillsdale Boulevard and South Norfolk Street, and responding officers determined through witness accounts that the incident occurred about a block east of that site on Lagos Street.

Neither a victim nor suspect were still on scene when police arrived, but officers did observe blood droplets and a cell phone left on a pavement as well as shell casings nearby, according to a San Mateo police news release.
