A man from India’s Rajasthan was arrested for threatening to kill Bollywood star Salman Khan in a video posted on YouTube. Mumbai police identified the suspect as 25-year-old Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, who claimed to have gang members Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar supporting him in the plot. The police took immediate action after the video was uploaded, detaining Gujar and registering a case at a cyber police station in Mumbai. This incident comes after shots were fired outside Salman Khan’s residence in April, leading to multiple arrests and investigations. Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill Bollywood Star Salman Khan
A man from India’s Rajasthan has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a video uploaded to YouTube. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, uploaded a video to his YouTube channel claiming that he, along with gang members Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, planned to kill Khan.
The Mumbai police took immediate action after the video was recorded on a highway in Rajasthan and uploaded to YouTube. The accused has been detained, and a case has been registered at a cyber police station in Mumbai. Police are currently investigating Gujar’s background to determine if he has any prior criminal record.
Investigation into Previous Incidents
This recent arrest comes after a series of incidents involving threats against Salman Khan. In April, two motorbike-borne men fired shots outside Khan’s residence in Bandra, leading to the arrest of six individuals. Tragically, one of the suspects died by suicide while in police custody.
Further investigations revealed a separate plot to target Khan, resulting in the arrest of five additional suspects, including a suspected member of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs. The Mumbai police’s crime branch recorded statements from Khan and his brother Arbaaz Khan in connection to the shooting incident outside their residence.
Gangster’s Vendetta Against Salman Khan
The vendetta against Salman Khan dates back to 1998 when the actor was accused of killing a black buck, a sacred animal to the Bishnoi community. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi openly admitted to plans of eliminating Khan for the incident. Following the shooting outside Khan’s residence, Bishnoi’s brother Anmol claimed responsibility for the attack on social media.
Anmol reportedly provided the weapons used in the attack to the shooters in March, motivating them to target the Bollywood star. The investigation into the incidents surrounding Salman Khan continues as the Mumbai police work to ensure the safety of the actor and his family.
