The incident unfolded after a joint federal-state police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team, consisting of operatives from the Organised Crime Investigation Division (D14) and Serious Crimes Division (D9), began trailing the suspects who were acting suspiciously in a Toyota Estima MPV.

Upon realising they were being followed, the suspects attempted to flee, firing shots at the police vehicle in pursuit. The police team retaliated, resulting in the suspects being shot dead inside their vehicle.

The Recovery

Upon further investigation, police recovered two pistols from the deceased suspects, as well as various substances believed to be illicit narcotics. The case is currently being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
