A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday as a rescue team in northern Pakistan recovered a human body believed to be one of two Japanese climbers who had gone missing while attempting to scale the 7,027-meter Spantik Peak.
Identification of Missing Climbers
The two climbers, Ryuseki Hiraoka, 55, and Atsushi Taguchi, 36, were identified by local authorities and other sources. It is likely that the recovered body belongs to Hiraoka.
