Four individuals, including a young child, tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident that took place near Chikkabennur village on National Highway 48 in Chitradurga. The incident occurred when a Toyota Fortuner SUV, carrying two families from Thanisandra, Bengaluru North, collided with a container lorry. The families were on their way to Goa for a weekend getaway when the unimaginable tragedy struck.
The impact of the collision was so severe that it resulted in the immediate deaths of Prajval Reddy, 30, Harshita, 28, and two-year-old Sohan. Tragically, Vijay Reddy succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital. The injured survivors, identified as Shilpa, Swarna George, Madhumitha, and Shichikrishna, were in critical condition and were promptly transferred to a private hospital in Davanagere for urgent medical care.
