A Milwaukee woman and man are facing charges in connection with a shooting incident that took place near 51st and Roosevelt on June 9. The individuals involved are 24-year-old Dejah Hull and 25-year-old Lavall Lee, who have been charged with various criminal offenses.

Following a report to authorities, a woman was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital on June 9 with gunshot wounds to her face, neck, and wrist. She stated that the incident occurred near 51st and Roosevelt, alleging that Dejah Hull and a relative were the perpetrators, and were likely travelling in a silver sedan without license plates.

Law enforcement officers responded to the area and observed a silver sedan without plates passing by slowly. Subsequently, the vehicle was located near 48th and Scranton, where Lavall Lee attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended shortly after. A firearm was recovered from Lee’s possession during the arrest.

The victim, who was later interviewed at Froedtert Hospital, identified Dejah Hull as the shooter and Lavall Lee as an accomplice. She recounted an altercation with Hull, her childhood friend, stemming from a dispute over a mutual romantic interest, which escalated into a physical altercation.

According to a witness statement obtained by Milwaukee detectives, the victim and Hull were close friends who engaged in a heated argument that turned violent. The altercation began indoors and spilled outside, culminating in the shooting incident near 51st and Roosevelt.

Lavall Lee appeared in Milwaukee County court on June 14, where a cash bond of £60,000 was set. The ongoing investigation aims to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ensure accountability for those involved.
