Man Linked to Navy Yard Shooting Found Dead in Alexandria Hospital Parking Lot
In a tragic turn of events, a man was found dead in the parking lot of Inova Alexandria Hospital, with gunshot wounds that linked him to a shooting in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard, according to police reports.
Alexandria Hospital Incident
The Alexandria Police Department received a distressing call around 3:03 a.m. on Wednesday, reporting a man with gunshot wounds lying outside an entrance of the hospital located at 4320 Seminary Road. Despite the efforts of hospital staff to save his life, the man succumbed to his injuries.
Connection to Navy Yard Shooting
Upon investigation, law enforcement officials determined that the shooting took place at 88 K Street SE in Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. responded to the unit block of K Street around 2:26 a.m. after reports of gunshots. While officers found a crime scene at the location, there were no victims present.
Victim Identified
The victim was later identified as Michael Sebastian, 31, a resident of Southeast, DC. Detectives learned that he had been shot at the unit block of K Street and had been brought to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
