Tragic Collision on Highway 17
On the morning of June 11, 2024, tragedy struck on Highway 17 between 67 Street and Township Road 504, just north of Lloydminster. Maidstone RCMP received a distressing report of a two-vehicle collision that would change the lives of those involved forever.

Upon receiving the call, officers from Maidstone RCMP sprang into action, rushing to the scene alongside local fire and EMS services. The sight that greeted them was one of devastation – a truck and a semi had collided, resulting in a loss of life.
Loss of Life
Despite the best efforts of EMS at the scene, the driver of the truck, a man hailing from Lloydminster, Alberta, was tragically declared deceased. Out of respect for the grieving family, his specific age has not been released to the public.
