Dozens of people were killed on Wednesday in a building fire that broke out in a multi-story building in Kuwait. Fire Claims Lives in Kuwait Housing Facility
Tragedy struck in Kuwait as a devastating fire broke out in a multi-story building in Mangaf, a picturesque area along the coast of the Persian Gulf. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, resulted in the loss of at least 49 lives and left dozens more injured.
According to reports from the Kuwait Times, the fire engulfed the housing facility where nearly 200 men resided. Among the deceased, around 40 have been identified as Indian nationals, with more than 50 of the injured also hailing from India.
International Response and Support
Following the tragic event, the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi issued a statement confirming the identities of the victims and providing updates on the condition of the injured Indian nationals. The injured have been transferred to five government hospitals in Kuwait, where they are receiving medical care.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India also extended his sympathies to those affected by the fire, emphasizing the need for repatriation of the deceased and proper medical attention for the injured. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait is actively engaged in coordinating efforts with local authorities to support the affected individuals.
