DeKalb-Leo George “Jerry” Piper, 84, passed away on July 12 at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center after battling Alzheimer’s Disease. Jerry was a beloved member of the community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jerry was known for his kind heart and infectious smile. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and had a passion for fighting stigma surrounding mental health issues. Jerry was actively involved in various advocacy groups and worked tirelessly to raise awareness and support for those struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease and other mental health conditions.
