Joseph R. (Bob) Brandenburg, a well-respected member of the Survey & Mapping Department, has sadly passed away. The news of his death has shocked and saddened his colleagues and friends. Bob, as he was affectionately known, was a dedicated professional who brought passion and expertise to his work.

Born and raised in Bartow, FL, Bob had a deep connection to the community and was known for his friendly and approachable nature. He was a licensed surveyor with PLS 2995 and had a long and successful career in the field of surveying and mapping. Bob’s colleagues remember him as a mentor and a friend, always willing to lend a hand and share his knowledge.

The Survey & Mapping Department will be holding a memorial service in front of the FDOT, District One office on June 27th at 11 am to honour Bob’s memory. Friends, family, and colleagues are invited to attend and pay their respects to a man who made a lasting impact on those around him.

Bob’s passing has left a void in the surveying community, and he will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
