Magby, was struck in the upper back, causing her to lose control of the car.

The chaos that ensued led to a tragic outcome as the Malibu careened into a Volkswagen Jetta on Halsted Street. Magby was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but, sadly, succumbed to her injuries. Her passenger suffered facial lacerations but is thankfully in stable condition.

The occupants of the Jetta, a 43-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries in the collision. They were also taken to the hospital for treatment but are reported to be in good condition.
