KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In a tragic incident, Kansas City police are currently investigating an overnight triple shooting near the bustling Kansas City Power and Light District. The incident occurred near the intersection of Truman Road and Grand Boulevard, a popular area known for its vibrant nightlife and entertainment venues.

Police Investigation Underway

Police, detectives, and crime scene investigators have been diligently working at the scene throughout the morning, trying to piece together what led to the unfortunate shooting. A man was found outside Prime Bar & Grill with gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Tragically, the victim, identified as McKinley Johnson Jr., a 28-year-old black man, succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Additionally, two women were also found in a nearby parking lot with gunshot wounds, although their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

The names of the female victims have not been disclosed by the authorities at this time.
