Man Killed in New Haven Shooting

A tragic incident occurred in New Haven, CT, on a Friday night, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old man and injury to another individual. The victim has been identified as Marquel Lewis, a resident of New Haven.

Details of the Shooting

The shooting took place following a ShotSpotter alert on Clover Place, located between Truman Street and Washington Avenue, just before 11:40 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, police found Lewis with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.

Additionally, a second victim, a 20-year-old man from New Haven, arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot. He confirmed that he was also injured in the same shooting on Clover Place.
