In a tragic turn of events, a YSRC leader was discovered deceased under mysterious circumstances at a poultry farm situated in Turpu Digavalli village of Nuzvid mandal on a Sunday morning. The deceased, identified as Jaggavarapu Venu Gopal Reddy, was the husband of the Turpu Digavalli village sarpanch and had been missing for three days following the announcement of the election results.
Details of the Incident
According to the Nuzvid rural police, Venu Gopal Reddy had been actively involved with the YSRC for the past six years, while his wife had recently been elected as the village sarpanch. Following the elections, numerous individuals from Nuzvid, including his friends and family members, had placed bets on the election outcomes and entrusted the funds to Venu Gopal Reddy.

With a firm belief in the YSRC forming the State government once again, he utilized the collected funds to engage in further betting activities. Subsequently, he decided to leave his residence to evade the mounting pressure from his acquaintances and loved ones.
Tragic End
Tragically, Venu Gopal Reddy was unable to cope with the stress and anguish of his financial situation and ultimately chose to end his own life. The police stated, “Venu Gopal Reddy allegedly amassed substantial sums from YSRC and TDP activists through bets and then proceeded to wager the same amounts with others. Unfortunately, he suffered losses in the bets, leading to his untimely demise. The estimated amount lost in the betting activities is approximately Rs 5 crore.”
