A 40-year-old truck driver was allegedly murdered by his friends on Saturday evening in Hyderabad. The victim, Mohammed Layeeq from Suleman Nagar, was invited for drinks near PVNR Pillar number 258. After the drinking party, the accused, under the influence of alcohol, used a broken liquor bottle to slit his throat, killing him on the spot. The police suspect past animosity between the victim and the accused but the exact motive is still unknown. A case has been registered, and evidence has been gathered with the assistance of the clues team. The body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.

According to reports, after an evening of drinking, the accused, who were intoxicated, used a broken liquor bottle to fatally wound Layeeq by slitting his throat, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
Detailing the incident, an official from the Attapur police station revealed, “There seems to have been underlying animosity between the victim and the perpetrators. However, the exact motive behind this heinous act remains unclear.”
