The Soladevanahalli police in Bangalore have apprehended a gang of six individuals for allegedly intimidating a college student with a fabricated drug case and robbing him of his possessions and money. The suspects, identified as Gopi Chand, Sharath, Manjunath, Chetan Gowda, Chetan Kumar, and Tejdeep Reddy, targeted the victim, a 20-year-old BTech student, on June 2 while he was on his way back from lunch with friends. They falsely accused his friends of damaging their motorcycle, extorting cash and a gold chain from him. The police recovered stolen items and vehicles used in the crime, with further investigations ongoing.

The Soladevanahalli Police Arrest Gang for Robbing College Student

Recently, in a quiet town near Rajanakunte, a group of six individuals were apprehended by the Soladevanahalli police for allegedly threatening a college student with a false drug case. The incident occurred on June 2nd, sending shockwaves through the community.

It all began when a BTech student, aged around 20, was making his way back to Rajanakunte after enjoying a meal with friends at a local dhaba in Hesaraghatta. The Arrest

Despite the victim agreeing to pay ₹7 lakh, the ordeal was far from over. The suspects managed to extort ₹50,000 in cash by using the victim’s motorcycle as collateral and issued threats of severe consequences if the remaining amount was not paid promptly.

Thankfully, the victim mustered the courage to report the incident to the authorities, leading to the prompt arrest of the six suspects by the Soladevanahalli police. Currently, the perpetrators are in judicial custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.

During the investigation, law enforcement managed to seize ₹18,500 in cash, along with several mobile phones. Additionally, they were able to confiscate an autorickshaw, bikes, and an SUV believed to have been used by the accused during the commission of the crime.
