In a heartbreaking incident that occurred in Maine, a 6-year-old girl named Lucy Morgan tragically lost her life in a freak badminton accident while on vacation with her family. The incident took place at a home in Maine on June 1, where Lucy was enjoying a game of badminton with her siblings.

According to authorities, the accident occurred around noon when a racquet broke on a downward swing by one of Lucy’s siblings, causing a sharp piece to lodge into her skull. Lucy, who was sitting on the sideline at the time, was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident.

At the hospital, Lucy underwent surgery to relieve the pressure in her brain, during which part of her skull was removed. Despite the medical intervention, her brain functioning ceased, and after thorough testing, brain death was declared on June 5.
