In a routine patrol near the Agoro Level Crossing area, a team from the Tudun Wada Division in Zaria intercepted a suspect identified as Babangida Sani, 37, from Faskari Local Government Area in Katsina state. The suspect, who was travelling from Jos to Faskari, was found in possession of an AK-47 rifle. The swift action of the officers led to the arrest of the suspect and the apprehension of the motorcycle’s driver who attempted to flee the scene.

The Anti-Car Theft Unit of the command’s Criminal Investigation Department recovered two abandoned vehicles, a Toyota Matrix (DKA 321 TT) and a Toyota Camry LE (Reg No: KGK 114 AA) in Mogadishu, Kaduna, following a tip-off. Additionally, a stolen white Toyota Hilux van (GWA 845 CY) was also recovered at Yazid Hotel on Ali Akilu Road, Kaduna. Further investigations led to the arrest of three suspects from Zamfara state in possession of two additional vehicles, a Honda Accord (RBC 143 MQ) and a Mercedes Benz (BKD 137 SB), suspected to be stolen.

In a separate incident, the DPO Millennium City Division received a report from the Sabon Gida vigilante group in Maraban Rido village, Sabo Area of Responsibility, about three armed men on a motorcycle heading through a known bandits’ route towards the Eastern Bypass. A combined team of police patrol officers, a military strike force, and local vigilantes acted swiftly, setting up an ambush at strategic locations to intercept the suspects near Kakura 2 Village along Umar Musa Yar’Adua Way. While two suspects managed to escape, the motorcycle rider, identified as Buhari Madaki, 26, was captured along with his red Jincheng motorcycle.
