The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested six suspects for various crimes and recovered five vehicles. The suspects were found in possession of stolen vehicles, including a Toyota Matrix, a Toyota Camry LE, a white Toyota Hilux van, a Honda Accord, and a Mercedes Benz. Additionally, an AK-47 rifle was discovered in the possession of one suspect. The police acted swiftly on tip-offs to recover the abandoned vehicles and apprehend the suspects. The police commissioner, Mr. Ali Dabigi, has assured the public of the command’s commitment to maintaining safety and security in the state. Police Arrest Six Suspects in Kaduna State

The Kaduna State Police Command made a significant breakthrough over the weekend with the arrest of six suspects involved in various criminal activities. The arrests were made in different parts of the state, highlighting the proactive efforts of the police in maintaining law and order.

Discovery of AK-47 Rifle

One of the suspects, Babangida Sani, was apprehended by a police patrol team near the Agoro Level Crossing area in Zaria. The suspect, traveling from Jos to Faskari, was found in possession of an AK-47 rifle. The quick response of the officers led to the arrest of both the suspect and the motorcycle driver who attempted to flee the scene.

Vehicle Recoveries

The Anti-Car Theft Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department recovered two abandoned vehicles, a Toyota Matrix and a Toyota Camry LE, in Mogadishu, Kaduna. Additionally, a stolen white Toyota Hilux van was found at Yazid Hotel on Ali Akilu Road. Further investigations led to the arrest of three suspects from Zamfara State, who were in possession of two more vehicles suspected to be stolen.

Arrest of Armed Men

In a separate incident, three armed men on a motorcycle were intercepted by the Sabon Gida vigilante group in Maraban Rido village. The suspects were seen heading through a known bandits’ route towards the Eastern Bypass. A coordinated effort involving the police, military, and local vigilantes led to the capture of one suspect and the recovery of a red Jincheng motorcycle.
