Desert Hot Springs Police Department officers responded to the crash near the intersection of Palm Drive and Hacienda Avenue at 2:55 a.m. Sunday. The driver, a 24-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, was heading north on Palm Drive when he struck a center median, causing the vehicle to roll over. The driver, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, sustained numerous injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. The Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the incident.
