A tragic accident on Jalan Kuantan-Segamat has claimed the lives of four individuals, including a teacher identified as Dahlia Ahmad, 52. The incident involved a bus carrying teachers and children from SK Jeram, Masjid Tanah, colliding with a trailer lorry. The bus overturned, resulting in multiple injuries and casualties. Among the deceased are Hasnatul Adilah Hassan, deputy principal 1 of SK Jeram, bus driver Hadi Asyraf Mad Idris, and school operation assistant Hamzah Ahmad. The passengers were en route to Terengganu for a benchmarking programme when the accident occurred. Ten passengers remain hospitalized as investigations continue.

In a devastating turn of events, another victim of the horrific bus accident on Jalan Kuantan-Segamat has tragically passed away, bringing the death toll to four. The latest casualty has been identified as 52-year-old teacher Dahlia Ahmad, who succumbed to her injuries at 9.30pm while receiving treatment at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) in Kuantan. This heartbreaking news was confirmed by Rompin district police chief DSP Nor Azman Yusof.

The tragic incident unfolded when a bus carrying 39 passengers, including two drivers, veered out of control and collided with a trailer lorry transporting steel coils. The bus, which was on its way to Terengganu for a benchmarking programme, overturned on a roadside slope, leading to a chain of devastating events. The passengers onboard were predominantly teachers from SK Jeram, Masjid Tanah, and their children, all of whom were looking forward to the educational excursion.
