Casualty Medical Officer at District Hospital Samba, Dr. Ketki, confirmed the incident and stated, “One person was brought to the hospital from the border area of Samba with bullet injuries. He died due to the bullet injury. Cause of the bullet injury is being investigated.”

Furthermore, Hospital Medical Officer K. Jandyal mentioned that Vasudev was brought to the hospital around 11 PM, but his vitals were not responding. Despite all efforts to revive him, he succumbed to the bullet wound in his chest.
