BEAUMONT, Texas – A Vidor man was arrested early Saturday morning after Beaumont police responded to reports of a possible burglary at Café Del Rio.
According to authorities, officers received a call just before 4 a.m. about two individuals possibly breaking into the popular restaurant located at 2830 I-10 East. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man and a woman in the restaurant’s tented patio area.
The suspect, identified as Tommy Jones, 25, of Vidor, attempted to flee but was apprehended by officers behind a nearby hotel. Jones was arrested for charges of evading and failing to identify himself and was subsequently taken to the Jefferson County jail for processing.
