A tragic incident occurred in Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area as a fire broke out at a pulses processing factory, resulting in three fatalities and six injuries. The fire was caused by a gas leak in a pipeline, leading to a compressor overheating and a subsequent blast. Despite the efforts of 16 fire tenders from the Delhi Fire Services, the factory was engulfed in flames. Nine individuals were rescued and taken to SHRC Hospital, where three unfortunately succumbed to their injuries. The injured were transferred to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment. The deceased were identified as Shyam, Ram Singh, and Beerpal.

Three individuals tragically lost their lives and six others sustained injuries in a devastating fire that erupted at a pulses processing factory located in Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area during the early hours of Saturday morning. Authorities have revealed that the fire was ignited by a gas leak in one of the pipelines, leading to the overheating of the compressor and ultimately resulting in a powerful blast.

The police control room (PCR) was alerted to the blaze at 3.35 am, with no initial reports of individuals being trapped inside the factory. A swift response from the Delhi Fire Services saw 16 fire tenders rushing to the scene, alongside personnel from the Narela Industrial Area police station, who arrived to find the facility engulfed in flames.

Rescue Efforts

Nine individuals were successfully rescued from the inferno and promptly transported to SHRC Hospital in Narela. Tragically, three of the rescued victims, identified as Shyam (24), Ram Singh (30), and Beerpal (42), succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Injured Victims

The six survivors who sustained various injuries were referred to Safdarjung Hospital for further treatment. Among the injured were Pushpender (26), Akash (19), Mohit Kumar (21), Monu (25), and Lalu (32), all of whom suffered burn injuries. Additionally, Ravi Kumar (19) sustained a minor injury from a falling brick during the chaos of the fire.
