Three individuals have tragically lost their lives, and three others have sustained injuries following a fatal collision between a bus and an autorickshaw in Gangachara Upazila, Rangpur. The incident took place on a Saturday afternoon in the Gunjipur area, according to Shariful Islam, the chief of Taraganj Highway Police Station. One of the deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Diba Rani Sarkar from Kishorganj Upazila in Nilphamari. The bus was en route from Jaldhaka in Nilphamari to Rangpur, while the autorickshaw was heading from Pagla Pir to Kishorganj. The collision resulted in the immediate death of one person, with two others succumbing to their injuries upon arrival at the hospital. The bodies have been transferred to the morgue at Rangpur Medical College Hospital, as confirmed by OC Shariful.

According to Shariful Islam, the chief of Taraganj Highway Police Station, the tragic incident occurred when a bus travelling from Nilphamari’s Jaldhaka to Rangpur collided with an autorickshaw heading from Pagla Pir to Kishorganj. The impact of the collision was so severe that it led to the immediate death of one person at the scene, identified as 39-year-old Diba Rani Sarkar from Nilphamari’s Kishorganj Upazila.
Victims and Survivors
Among the injured were Wahidul Islam and Mominul Islam, who were rushed to the hospital for emergency medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, two of the injured individuals succumbed to their injuries and passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
