New Delhi Fire Incident: During the scorching summer months, fire accidents are unfortunately not uncommon, often attributed to electrical short circuits. The recent incident that took place in a food processing factory in the Narela Industrial Area of North Delhi on June 8 resulted in a devastating loss of life. Of the nine individuals present in the factory at the time of the fire, three lost their lives, while the remaining six sustained severe injuries. The preliminary investigation points towards a gas leak as the probable cause of the fire.

Fire Breaks Out At Factory In Delhi, 3 Killed

As reported by Delhi Police, a fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning at a food processing factory in North Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area, claiming the lives of Shyam, 24, Ram Singh, 30, and Beerpa, 42. The injured individuals were identified as Pushpender, 26, Akash, 19, Mohit Kumar, 21, Ravi Kumar, 19, Monu, 25, and Lalu, 32.

The police received a PCR call regarding the incident around 3:35 AM and promptly responded to the scene at Shayam Kripa Foods PVT LTD, where the fire had erupted. All nine individuals present in the factory were swiftly transported to SHRC Hospital in Narela. Tragically, three of the injured workers succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Gas Leak Could Be Reason Of Fire

According to the police’s initial findings, the fire originated from a gas leak in one of the pipelines while raw moong was being roasted on gas burners. The leakage led to the fire spreading rapidly, causing the compressor to overheat and resulting in a blast. A case has been registered, and a thorough investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
