The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested a man and a woman in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred nearly 2 years ago in Lexington County, South Carolina. Chendric Jawan Brown and London Ja’Kia Oliver have been charged, while Ziyon Ta’hib McKnight is wanted for murder and conspiracy. The shooting resulted in the death of 22-year-old Harold Lord Peak III. Detectives found that Oliver led Brown and McKnight to the victims’ location, where they shot them as they drove by. Arrests Made in Connection to 2022 Deadly Shooting in Lexington County

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals, took a significant step forward on Thursday afternoon by apprehending a man and a woman linked to a tragic shooting incident that occurred in 2022. Authorities are now actively searching for another suspect involved in the case.

Chendric Jawan Brown, aged 25, faces charges of murder and conspiracy, as per the arrest warrants filed against him. London Ja’Kia Oliver, aged 26, has been charged with conspiracy and accessory before the fact. Meanwhile, 24-year-old Ziyon Ta’hib McKnight is currently wanted for murder and conspiracy, as indicated by the issued arrest warrants.

The incident dates back to September 2022 when the South Congaree Police Department notified investigators about a vehicle on Edmund Highway with two passengers who had sustained gunshot wounds. Tragically, 22-year-old Harold Lord Peak III succumbed to his injuries caused by multiple gunshot wounds, as confirmed by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.

During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Oliver orchestrated the plan, leading Brown and McKnight to the victims’ location. The perpetrators then ambushed the victims as they drove by, resulting in the fatal shooting. Following intensive efforts, Brown and Oliver were apprehended on Thursday afternoon and are currently detained at the Lexington County Detention Center after being denied bond by a magistrate judge.
