Tragedy struck in Jacksonville, Illinois, last night as an 18-year-old lost his life in a fatal shooting incident. The Jacksonville Police Department has identified the victim as Trenton D. Jackson, while the suspect, Larry W. Taylor, has been charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities have released the names of both the victim and the suspect involved in the shooting. Trenton D. Jackson, aged 18, was the unfortunate victim of the incident. The alleged perpetrator, also 18, has been identified as Larry W. Taylor.

Details of the Shooting
The tragic shooting took place at approximately 8:13 p.m. on Thursday in the vicinity of College Avenue and Dunlap Court in Jacksonville. Responding officers discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and promptly transported him to Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Out of respect for the victim’s family, his name is currently being withheld pending notification.
