Authorities have identified the driver who was killed in a two-car crash on Route 10 in southern Berks County as a 64-year-old man from the Reinholds area. Scott Wagner of Spring Township died at the scene of the crash at Route 10 and Elverson Road near the New Morgan borough line in Caernarvon Township. According to Caernarvon police, Wagner pulled out from Elverson Road into Route 10 and was struck broadside by a southbound car. The crash closed a 2-mile section of Route 10 for about four hours between Furnace Road in Robeson Township and Ranck Road in Caernarvon. The incident is still under investigation. Tragic Accident Claims Life of Reinholds Man in Southern Berks County
In a tragic turn of events on Thursday morning, a fatal two-car crash occurred on Route 10 in southern Berks County, resulting in the loss of a 64-year-old man from the Reinholds area. The victim, identified as Scott Wagner of Spring Township, tragically lost his life at the scene of the accident, near the New Morgan borough line in Caernarvon Township.

According to Caernarvon police reports, the incident took place at the intersection of Route 10 and Elverson Road, where Wagner pulled out from Elverson Road onto Route 10, also known as Morgantown Road. His vehicle was struck broadside on the passenger side by a car travelling southbound on the road. The impact caused Wagner’s car to veer into the embankment, while the other vehicle rolled at least twice.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, with Wagner being pronounced dead on arrival. The driver of the other vehicle, whose identity has not been disclosed by the authorities, suffered what appeared to be minor injuries and was transported to Reading Hospital for treatment.
