Details of the Tragic Crash Unfold

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has revealed that the fatal crash in Fenton claimed the lives of two individuals and a dog. The incident occurred on State Route 369 when a white BMW travelling southbound crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a white 2023 Honda Civic.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, and the dog in the Honda also perished. The identities of the victims have not been disclosed pending notification of their families.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff’s office tip line. Emergency response teams from various agencies, including the Port Crane Fire Company and New York State Police, were on the scene to assist.

Road Reopened After Closure

Initially, Route 369 in Fenton was closed from Fenner Hill Road to a mile north of Fenner Hill Road following the accident. By 1 p.m., the road had been reopened to traffic as the investigation continued.
