A tragic incident occurred in Chandpur as a man was electrocuted while charging his battery-run auto-rickshaw, leading to his untimely death. Another man also died by suicide in the same area, as reported by the local police. The deceased individuals were identified as Salauddin Mia, 45, and Shahadat Hossain Mia, 27. Salauddin, a salesperson for a private company, left a note citing financial struggles and lack of love before taking his own life. Shahadat, a father of two, was fatally electrocuted while charging his livelihood source, a battery-operated auto-rickshaw. Both incidents have left the community in shock and mourning.

Tragic Deaths in Chandpur: Man Electrocuted and Another Dies by Suicide

Two heartbreaking incidents occurred in Chandpur, leading to the untimely deaths of two individuals. The first victim, Salauddin Mia, aged 45, tragically took his own life in the Bank Colony area of the city. Salauddin, who resided in a rented house with his wife and daughter, worked as a salesperson for a private company. He left behind a note detailing his struggles with financial difficulties and feelings of loneliness.

Local authorities were informed of the situation, and Salauddin’s lifeless body was discovered at his residence around 9 pm. The police are currently conducting necessary legal procedures before handing over the body to his grieving family.

The second fatality, Shahadat Hossain Mia, aged 27, met a tragic end in Uttar Nauri village in Matlab Uttar Upazila. Shahadat, a father of two children, was electrocuted while charging his battery-operated auto-rickshaw, which he used as a means of livelihood.

Shahadat’s younger sister, Sumaiya, recounted the harrowing incident, stating, “I witnessed my brother being electrocuted and immediately called for help. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, the attending doctor pronounced him dead upon arrival.”

Alamgir Hossain Roni, the chief of Uttar Matlab Police Station, confirmed the cause of Shahadat’s demise as electrocution. A case of unnatural death has been registered, and at the family’s request, his body was released without undergoing an autopsy.
