The Tragic Incident at Porur Lake

In a heartbreaking turn of events at Porur Lake in Chennai, a 35-year-old man was found dead after allegedly flinging his three-year-old child into the water. The incident took place on the Tambaram-Maduravoyal bypass, where the man, identified as D Mohanraj, stopped near the lake on his black bike.

The Rescue

Reports from the SRMC police station indicate that witnesses saw the man throwing his child into the lake following a domestic dispute. Fortunately, some quick-thinking fishermen on a nearby boat managed to rescue the child and bring them to safety. The child was then handed over to the authorities, who were able to contact the mother of the child, a resident of Ayanavaram.

The Discovery

Tragically, the following day, the body of D Mohanraj was discovered floating in the same lake. The police were alerted to the grim scene and identified the deceased as the father of the rescued child. A case of mysterious death was registered as authorities worked to piece together the events leading up to this heartbreaking incident.
