Authorities in Springfield, MA have identified the victims of a tragic weekend stabbing incident. Two adult females, 19-year-old Nour Al Kherat and 39-year-old Ruwaida Salamat, were found dead at the scene. The suspect, 46-year-old Osamah Al Kharet, has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder. Additionally, an adult male victim was found with serious injuries and taken to the hospital. Al Kharet is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16. The Springfield Police homicide unit and the D.A.’s murder unit are continuing to investigate this heartbreaking case.

Victims Identified
The victims of this senseless act of violence have been identified as 19-year-old Nour Al Kherat of Springfield and 39-year-old Ruwaida Salamat. Nour, believed to be the daughter of the suspect, 46-year-old Osamah Al Kharet of West Springfield, tragically lost her life alongside Ruwaida, who is believed to be the suspect’s spouse.

Survivor Fights for Life
In addition to the two fatalities, an adult male victim was also found at the scene with serious injuries. He was swiftly transported to Baystate Medical Center for urgent medical attention, where he continues to fight for his life in the wake of this horrific incident.
Suspect in Custody
Following the discovery of the victims, Osamah Al Kharet was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement officials. He was subsequently charged with two counts of murder, armed assault to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Al Kharet currently remains in custody without the option of bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 16 for further legal proceedings.
