Saratok Tragedy: Fatal Collision Claims Life of 36-Year-Old Man
SARATOK, June 4: A tragic incident unfolded today near Kampung Melayu Roban as a fatal collision took the life of a 36-year-old man, identified as Hazman Wahab.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) swiftly responded to a distress call around 12pm, dispatching a team of firefighters from Saratok Fire Station (BBP) to the scene of the accident.
Upon arrival, the first responders were met with a harrowing sight – two vehicles, a Perodua Axia and a cement lorry, had collided in a devastating manner.
Efforts to Save Lives
The driver of the Axia was found trapped in the wreckage, necessitating a delicate extraction operation by Bomba personnel. Tragically, the driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fortunately, the driver of the cement lorry escaped with minor injuries, highlighting the unpredictable nature of road accidents.
