Rendell Senining led Nest Workspaces Batch 2013 to a victorious start in the SHAABAA Season 27 Division C with 21 points. The team defeated Cebu Landmasters/CloudKart Batch 2014 with a score of 61-51. Uriel Avila also shined, scoring 32 points for Bright Lights N’ Style Batch 2022 against CSAS Batch 2024. In other games, FADI Batch 2021 beat Global Star Motors Batch 2020, and Batch 2018 dominated over Batch 2023. In Division A, Core Pacific and 2K Cares began their season strong. Notable performances include Joseph Rudolf Lo for Core Pacific and Sean Young for 2K Cares. Division B saw impressive displays from Erwin Lopena and Franco Te, leading their teams to victory.

The Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 27 kicked off with a bang as Nest Workspaces Batch 2013 showcased their dominance in Division C. Led by Rendell Senining’s impressive performance of 21 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal, Batch 2013 secured a solid 61-51 victory over Cebu Landmasters/CloudKart Batch 2014 at the Magis Eagles Arena of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
Senining was not alone in his stellar showing, as Galvez contributed a double-double of 14 points and 17 rebounds, along with four blocks. Emman Malazarte also made his presence felt with 12 points for Batch 2013. On the opposing side, Jair Igna, Popoy Navarro, and Lucky Ecarma combined for 38 points for Batch 2014, but it was not enough to secure the win.

In another Division C matchup, Uriel Avila exploded for 32 points, 14 rebounds, nine steals, five assists, and two blocks to lead Bright Lights N’ Style Batch 2022 to a convincing 65-45 victory over the debuting CSAS Batch 2024. The competition in Division C heated up as FADI Batch 2021 defeated Global Star Motors Batch 2020 with a score of 60-50, while Batch 2018 outplayed Batch 2023 with a final score of 85-69.
Moving on to Division A, Core Pacific Group and 2K Cares, both supported by SHAABAA chairman Afshin Ghassemi, started their season on a high note. Core Pacific secured a 66-60 win over GMall of Cebu, with Joseph Rudolf Lo leading the charge with 11 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, one assist, and one steal. On the other hand, 2K Cares dominated Yangtze Ice with a 47-29 victory, fueled by Sean Young’s 13 points and three rebounds.
In Division B action, Erwin Lopena and Franco Te shone bright as 04 The Win Batch 2004 cruised to a 93-62 win over Insular Square Batch 2005. Lopena recorded 30 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals, while Te contributed 23 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Additionally, Bernard Chioson led Puresteel Manufacturing Batch 2011 to a 95-53 victory over ZeroNine Batch 2009 with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. ZLREJ Trading & Construction Batch 2010 also secured a close 53-50 win over Subtero Batch 2006, thanks to Jasper Diaz’s 22 points, 17 rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.
