Tragic Incident in Bintangor

BINTANGOR: A heartbreaking tragedy struck the small town of Bintangor when a 13-year-old boy, Vincent Tiong Meng Wei, fell into Sungai Lemujan near Rh Thomas Liman Lempa Ampu, Jalan Wak Pakan. The incident occurred on June 1, with the river located just 200 feet from the longhouse.

Desperate Search for the Boy

It was a harrowing moment for Vincent’s family when they heard his screams coming from the direction of the river. They immediately rushed to the scene and began searching for the boy. Sadly, all they found were his slippers drifting not far from where he was last seen.

Discovery of the Victim

After an exhaustive search effort by the family and authorities, Vincent’s body was discovered by the public at 8.40 am the next morning, approximately 50 metres downstream from where he was last seen. His body was then handed over to the police for further investigation.
