A Bangladeshi pilgrim who traveled to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj has passed away in Makkah, as reported by the Hajj Management Portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The deceased, identified as Md Nurul Alam, aged 61, died on May 31. This brings the total number of Bangladeshi pilgrims who have died during this year’s Hajj to nine. So far, 55,116 pilgrims have made the journey to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj, with 3,747 opting for a government travel package and the remaining 51,369 choosing a private package. The Hajj is set to begin on June 16, with a total of 86,257 pilgrims from Bangladesh expected to participate.

Details of Bangladeshi Pilgrim’s Death in Makkah
Tragically, a Bangladeshi pilgrim named Md Nurul Alam, aged 61, passed away in Makkah while performing the sacred Hajj pilgrimage. The sad news was confirmed by the Hajj Management Portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in a bulletin released at 2:30am on Sunday. Md Nurul Alam’s passport number was ‘A08377697’ and he breathed his last on May 31.

Number of Deaths During This Year’s Hajj
With the demise of Md Nurul Alam, the total number of Bangladeshi pilgrims who have lost their lives during this year’s Hajj has now reached nine. It is always heartrending to hear about such losses during this spiritual journey.

As of now, a total of 55,116 pilgrims from Bangladesh have travelled to Saudi Arabia to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage.
