Delaware State Police are currently investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision in Sussex County. The tragic incident occurred when the driver of a car turned into the path of an oncoming SUV at the intersection of Harbeson Road and Carpenter Road near Milton. The SUV driver, a 65-year-old Harbeson woman named Lucia Amaya, succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Another woman and a four-year-old child sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment. The driver of the other vehicle, a Camden woman, and a 12-year-old child were hospitalized with minor injuries. Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash in Sussex County Leaves One Dead and Several Injured

Delaware State Police are currently investigating a tragic two-vehicle crash that occurred in Sussex County. The collision occurred when the driver of a car turned into the path of an oncoming SUV, resulting in a fatal outcome.

Details of the Crash

As a result of the crash, a 65-year-old Harbeson woman, identified as Lucia Amaya, tragically lost her life. She was the driver of the SUV that was hit and succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. Additionally, a woman and a four-year-old child who were also in the SUV are currently being treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, a Camden woman, along with a 12-year-old child, were hospitalized with minor injuries following the collision. The exact circumstances that led to the crash are still under investigation by Delaware State Police.
