Two individuals are facing charges following a firearm investigation in Owensboro, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office. On June 1, deputies responded to a report of a person pointing a loaded firearm at two juveniles on Irene Avenue. Joshua Vick, the suspect, allegedly became aggressive while receiving a ride from the juveniles and fled the scene before deputies arrived. The next day, Vick was apprehended on Thoma Drive along with two others. A search warrant led to the discovery of the firearm, suspected meth, and marijuana. Chelsey Hastie, whose room was searched, is also facing charges related to possession and trafficking of synthetic drugs.
The Incident in Owensboro, Kentucky
In a recent incident in Owensboro, Kentucky, two individuals are facing charges related to a firearm investigation. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a call on June 1st, around 2:30 p.m., reporting a person pointing a loaded firearm at two juveniles in the 200 block of Irene Avenue. The suspect, identified as Joshua Vick, allegedly became aggressive towards the juveniles while they were giving him a ride.

According to deputies, Vick started pointing the firearm at the two juveniles, prompting them to flee the area. By the time deputies arrived on the scene, Vick had already left. However, on June 2nd, at approximately 5:30 a.m., deputies received information that Vick was located at the 6800 block of Thoma Drive.
Arrest and Search Warrant
Deputies, along with two other individuals, arrested Vick at the Thoma Drive location. Following his arrest, deputies obtained a search warrant for the area and discovered the firearm used in the previous incident, as well as suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. Additionally, deputies searched a room belonging to Chelsey Hastie, where they found more suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.

Hastie is facing charges related to possession and trafficking in synthetic drugs. The search of her room also revealed a significant amount of synthetic drugs packaged in numerous baggies, along with a substantial sum of cash.
Legal Charges
As a result of the investigation, Vick is facing multiple charges, including possession and carrying a concealed weapon. Similarly, Hastie is being charged with possession and trafficking in synthetic drugs. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
