A serial killer apprehended by Mangla police in Gujar Khan reportedly died in a police encounter with his accomplices in Jhelum. The accused was being transferred to his residence in Hassanabad area near Jhelum to recover belongings of his victims. The police were ambushed by armed individuals in a silver Mehran car, resulting in the death of the accused, Abdul Rehman. He had a history of robbery, dacoity, and murder charges. The attackers used a stolen car, leading to multiple charges under the Pakistan Penal Code. Gujar Khan Serial Killer Dies in Police Encounter
Residents of Gujar Khan were left in shock as news spread of a serial killer apprehended by Mangla police meeting his demise in a police encounter with his accomplices in the Jhelum area on Friday night.
Details of the Incident
The police were in the process of transferring the accused to his residence in Hassanabad near Jhelum city to recover the belongings of one of his victims, Iftikhar ul Hassan Shah. The recent discovery of two bodies, identified as Iftikhar ul Hassan and Nasteen Akhtar, buried in a room at his residence had sent shockwaves through the community.
On the fateful night, the police were escorting the accused to his residence in Hassanabad to retrieve items belonging to Iftikhar ul Hassan for the investigation. However, a silver-colored Mehran vehicle without a number plate intercepted the police party near the Ashiyana housing area. Armed individuals from the vehicle opened fire, leading to a confrontation with the police.
Escalation of Events
The armed individuals forcefully took the accused, Abdul Rehman, and during the confrontation, he sustained severe injuries from the gunfire of his associates. The assailants then fled the scene, leaving Rehman behind. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during the journey.

The silver-colored Mehran car used by the attackers was recovered from the crime scene and traced back to Raja Hassan, a resident of Pandori. It was discovered that the car had been stolen the day before the incident. Charges have been filed against the individuals under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Criminal Past of Abdul Rehman
Police sources revealed that Abdul Rehman had a history of criminal activities, including robberies, dacoities, and the murder of three people. In 2015, he was charged with the brutal murders of a mother and her daughter during a dacoity in Saggarpur village. Additionally, he was accused of killing his accomplice by striking him with a stone at a hotel in 2010.
Despite his past involvement in heinous crimes, Abdul Rehman was acquitted of the charges by the high court. The shocking turn of events that led to his demise has left many questioning the safety and security measures in place in the region.
