Details of the Gazipur Accident
In Gazipur, the road accident claimed the lives of two individuals and left another injured. The deceased were identified as Chanchal Roy, a 30-year-old driver from Sunamganj district, and Ripon, a 35-year-old resident of Mohammadpur area in Dhaka. The injured individual, Md Mamun from Barishal, is currently receiving medical treatment.
According to reports from the Mawna Fire Service, the tragic incident occurred when a speeding pickup van collided with a truck near the Jainabazar Road Divider area. The pickup van was on its way to Bhaluka after delivering fish in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur. Chanchal Roy lost his life on the spot, while Ripon succumbed to his injuries at Sreepur Upazila Health Complex.
