Tragic Turn of Events
Azizul had returned home on a two-month vacation and was scheduled to depart for Chattogram on Saturday evening after the holiday. However, on the fateful night, they checked into the hotel under the aliases of Toma and Miraj, claiming to be from Pirganj in Rangpur.
Hotel manager Rabiul Islam disclosed that Azizul left the premises around 9:30 pm, leaving behind a scene of unimaginable horror. Initial investigations revealed that he callously disposed of his child’s remains in the Karatoa River.
Subsequently, Azizul deceitfully informed his family that his wife and child had gone missing, enlisting his father-in-law in a futile search across various areas of Bogura city.
Confession and Arrest
The following morning, Azizul announced his intention to vacate the hotel room, prompting suspicion from the manager. Upon confrontation, he confessed to the heinous act, leading to the swift involvement of law enforcement authorities.
Asha Moni’s grief-stricken father, Ashadul Islam, lamented, “My daughter and grandson were victims of dowry-related violence. I demand justice, and I urge for Azizul to face the full extent of the law.”
