The woman, identified as Vanlalruali, and her husband went missing after a landslide in Aibawk village in Aizawl district. Her body was found in Hortoki village in Kolasib district on Friday. The search for five other missing persons, including a six-month-old baby, is ongoing. Chief Minister Lalduhoma has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased. The government has also allocated Rs 15 crore to address rain-triggered disasters caused by Cyclone Remal.
